The Dalmatian is a large dog breed with famous black spots along it's white coat. The history of the Dalmatian originates in Croatia and its historical region of Dalmatia. Dalmatian's are one of the most popular family pets and known as a firefighter's best friend. Dalmatian puppies are born completely white and the spots develop later.
